* We have been thanking the Lord for the beautiful and very much needed rain we got last Tuesday!  Farmers are very dependent on God to give us the right weather; without rain all of our work is to no avail.  Our plants are happily soaking up this blessing and it will make the “fruits of our labors” plump and productive.

* We are digging the early Dark Red Norland potatoes.  This early their skins are quite tender so we cannot use the big harvester yet, but they are such a beautiful color and taste delicious, so we pick them all by hand for now.

 * We are picking them first early white (Illusion) and also the first yellow and white (Allure) varieties.  They are a bit small this early in the season, but they are sweet and delicious. The ears should get larger as the season goes on!

* The blueberry fields are loaded! Now is the time to stock your freezers and pantries for the winter. Please head to the berry page on our website for updated u-pick info.

* As a reminder, the Folsomdale road field is open 7 days a week, self-serve, from dawn to dusk. Please bring cash and small bills since Folsomdale is self-serve! Make sure you check out all the fields at Folsomdale: after you pass the first main field there are 7 more fields of various sizes in the back, just keep following the gravel driveway. Drive slowly, as people may be leaving as you’re coming in!

* The Merlau road field near the farm store is only open from 9-4:30 Monday-Friday and CLOSED ON WEEKENDS. If you plan to pick at the Merlau road field during the week, stop first at the stand for directions and to weigh your containers empty and full. Please drive slowly and carefully down the driveway to the Merlau road field- it is a shared driveway between our farm and residents.
